Mota-Engil Angola renovates Bay of Luanda

Within the scope of the plan for the renovation of the outer highway along the Bay of Luanda, the execution of all of the infrastructures in Parcel A, was awarded to Mota-Engil Angola.


In an intervention area of approximately 100,000 square metres, all the technical infrastructures (water supply and irrigation networks, storm and domestic sewers, electrical distribution and public lighting, telecommunications) will be installed, including approximately 1200 metres of cable chutes, technical management building (transformer substations emergency generators) and waste water pumping station, as well as the corresponding connection branches for all those infrastructures in the 19 projected lots.

The plans call for 10,000 square metres of street paving in bituminous concrete, 27,000 square metres of pedestrian pavements and parking areas paved in granite stones, 4,800 square metres of pedestrian pavements in finished concrete, 9,000 metres of kerbing, besides all the traffic signals (vertical and horizontal) and urban equipment.

The projected time of execution of these works, budgeted in the amount of 18.7 million US dollars (approximately 14 million euros), is eight months.
